Pastors are continually asking us to come back next year. Many invite us to their communities to hold these conferences there. We never go to one place twice. We always go to new areas for pastors who have never had this training, but still we only reach a small percent of the need. In order to train more pastors we will be doing something new in 2020. Pastor Moses wants to shift some of his duties so he has more time to train pastors. I suggested he hold a series of two-day pastors’ conferences during this year doing just what I do. The man has translated about 1,000 lessons and sermons I’ve presented over the years, he certainly knows my material. I left all my teaching notes, including a few simple magic tricks, with him as well. He will do what we do without me being there. This can help us reach another 300 to 500 pastors a year.
We need your help to do this. First, we need prayer for Pastor Moses to have time, wisdom and energy to do this. There is a lot involved planning and putting on a conference, and doing all the teaching adds more to it. Second, we need financial support for this. It’ll cost about $1,000 per conference, depending on how many attend, and we’d like to have 5 conferences this year. Cost per pastor for our two-day conferences is about $15 plus $10 for books. That is $25 per pastor and $40 per couple. That’s quite a deal for the benefit!
By the way, cost for the recent 2020 trip was slightly over budget. Costs continue to rise in India though. We thank God for providing for our financial needs. He is faithful!
