In India we must totally rely on God’s grace. We are totally out of our element, our comfort zone, and if anything good is to happen it must be God’s doing. That is clear. So we continually pray for His grace. But we have to be careful how we pray for grace!
What about you? Do you ever pray and ask God for grace? What about asking for more grace (as if what God is giving isn’t enough)? “God, let your grace be sufficient for me” is what we sometimes request. If God would speak aloud, I think He might say, “How dare you ask for that which already is?” He cannot make His grace any more sufficient than it is already is. He declares, “My grace IS sufficient.” He doesn’t say it “may be” or “shall be” sufficient but that is always is.
Now think about that. Sufficient grace is always available no matter what we face or what we need. It is guaranteed, 100% sure. We don’t have to wait for it or hope it is enough. There’s no need to ask for it, or ask for more or it. It is there. We just need to avail ourselves of it. Do you? (January 31, Kurnool, India)
