INDIA 2020 EVALUATION
We are home from our trip to India to train pastors. We held 7 conferences in 12 days with 650 pastors and 150 wives attending. This brings the total to 354 days in India in 13 years, holding 194 days’ worth of pastors’ conferences for 8,200 pastors and 2,500 wives. But who’s counting? That doesn’t include Sunday preaching in churches, talks to children, youth, orphans, or lepers groups. No wonder I’m sleeping so much!
But statistics don’t tell the story of trained and encouraged pastors and wives. It doesn’t reflect the smiles and joy in their eyes. They report their faith is stronger and they learned many things from God’s Word. They thank us for better equipping them to minister with Biblical teaching and the accompanying 11 book library distributed.
I received this email yesterday from one of the few pastors who knows English.
This is Pastor _______ from Almighty church in ___________ . Greetings to you in the name of our lord and savior Jesus Christ. It’s my privilege to send you mail. First of all I thank heavenly father for he has given me the privilege to listen very valuable things from you. I’m very sure today it was very great program many pastors were enlightened by your valuable presentation of inspiring message, pictures, drawings and some magics as well. You are very loving and kind hearted person like Jesus because you have spent your valuable money to give us books, travel money and for delicious food even. We did really enjoy the program once again I do praise God for that. We have reached home safely my family also very happy I hope you too. We do pray for you, your family and your ministry and please do pray for me and my family and ministry.
Training and empowering pastors already in the culture is the most efficient, cost effective way to spread the gospel. Each one we influence goes on to influence dozens of others that in turn influence many more. They minister to people we could never reach. It’s like throwing a stone in a lake and watching the ripples.
Moving forward into the next year, our Indian coordinator, Pastor Moses, will teach follow-up conferences throughout 2020 and expand into new areas to minister. The financial help for pastors, installing desperately needed fresh water wells, overseeing the orphanage and a variety of other ministries will continue as well. Additionally, I hope to write another book and coordinate the ministry from here. Your continued prayers and support are greatly needed and appreciated make this ministry possible.
