NO GREATER JOY…

This is an excerpt from my journal on June 1, 2009:

 Yesterday I had the wonderful privilege of dedicating another granddaughter to the Lord.  Addison Kate Schmoyer is our 4th grandchild and a very special young lady.  ‘Addison’ means ‘son of Adam.’  ‘Son of Adam’ is a term used for all fallen mankind.  That’s why Jesus came to earth, to die for all of us sons of Adam.  Narnia portrays this in a beautiful way.  In that wonderful story all human beings are called ‘sons of Adam,’ or ‘Addisons.’  Aslan died to set them free, just as Jesus died to set all us current ‘addisons’ free.  That includes Addison Kate Schmoyer.  God is her owner by creation and by purchasing her on the cross.  Recognizing that ownership and asking for His help in raising her to be the woman God created her to be is our responsibility and privilege. 

Watching all my children and their mates live for Jesus is a joy and pleasure words cannot describe.  It is by God’s mercy and grace that ALL of them are walking in truth.  I thank God for His marvelous faithfulness in drawing each one of my children and their mates to Himself.  I am pleased beyond words that each one willing responds and submits to His lordship.  It is Jesus who makes our family what it is and I give Him ALL the credit and thanks, glory and honor.  And this isn’t the end – there’s a lot more blessing to come.  Praise God for His faithfulness!!!!!   (December 16, 2019  Doylestown, PA)
